The programme begins with a full day of instructor-led training at Winslade Manor, Exeter, covering Microsoft 365 Copilot, prompting techniques, document analysis, research workflows, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and practical legal-sector use cases. Participants will learn how to work effectively, safely and responsibly with AI while exploring real-world scenarios relevant to modern legal practices.

Unlike a traditional one-day workshop, learning continues beyond the event. Delegates receive access to two additional self-paced modules covering Excel with Copilot, data analysis, Copilot Agents and business process automation, supported by regular check-ins from the teams at Four Squares Technology and Illuminate Learning.

By the end of the programme, attendees will have a clear understanding of what Microsoft Copilot can deliver, how to prepare their Microsoft 365 environment for adoption, and how to drive meaningful business value from AI within their practice.

What to Expect

A practical training programme for legal IT professionals and decision makers looking to prepare their organisations for Microsoft Copilot. Learn what Copilot can do, understand the risks of unmanaged deployment, and discover how to implement the governance, security, permissions and policies needed to roll it out confidently across Microsoft 365.

Modules 1 and 2 are delivered in person, with lunch included. Modules 3 and 4 are completed at your own pace, supported by follow-up sessions with Four Squares Technology and Illuminate Learning.

Having led an Azure practice within one of the UK's largest technology distributors, David has worked with hundreds of Microsoft partners and customers, supporting cloud transformation, Microsoft 365 adoption and emerging AI opportunities. Known for his engaging presentation style and real-world approach, he delivers workshops and enablement programmes that inform, inspire and drive meaningful change.

At Illuminate Learning, David helps organisations build capability, accelerate adoption and maximise the value of their Microsoft investments.

Matt has over two decades of experience helping organisations improve productivity, strengthen security and maximise the value of their technology investments.   • Everyone can arrive, themselves a coffee and we’ll host some informal networking.

  • An introduction to generative AI and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Learn how to access and use Copilot securely, write effective prompts, analyse documents, summarise information and apply AI to common legal research and drafting tasks

  • It has been said that Matt, our MD, only hosts these events because he likes lunch. We cannot confirm nor deny this.

    Lunch optons will be sent post sign up, but it will be a full sit down meal, all dietary needs catered for.

  • Explore how Copilot works across Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Researcher. Discover practical workflows for meeting management, email productivity, document creation and legal research.

  • An oppertunity to discuss any questions you might have, with any of the numerous Microsoft specialists that will be at the event.

  • The Team from Four Squares and Illuminate will be on site to answer any questions you may have, or deep dive into any specific concerns.

Winslade Manor is located just a few minutes from Junction 30 of the M5, making it easily accessible from across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and the wider South West.
